2012…

We know it’s been a while and we are SORRY!!! We’ve just been a little busy! So many amazing things have been taking place and God’s been blessing like crazy!!

We had the amazing opportunity to open up for Syleena Johnson  in Wilmington, DE this month! She is incredible! We’ll post some picture very soon! We also were blessed to be a part of Broc Connor’s Butterfly Effect, which is hip networking event held at Gallerie Isada. And we can’t forget the exciting show we did at Noni’s Patios earlier this month with Jeremy Issac and Lloyd Alexander! that was CRAZY!!!

This month…

Wednesday, 2/1/2012: VEnT will be at Mikey’s Bar and Grill located at 3180 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia, PA, 19104. We’ll be up around 11pm! Come out and enjoy the show!

Thursday, 2/9/2012: VEnT will be back home at Sweeney’s Saloon located at 13639 Bustleton Avenue in the Somerton section of Philadelphia, PA 19116. Come out at 10pm! Oh, and Jeremy Issac and Hangover will also be rocking out, so you are in for a HUGE treat! And it’s only $3!!

Friday, 2/17/2012: VEnT will be performing at a youth event at New Covenant Church! All details will be posted soon.

Saturday, 2/25/2012: VEnT will be at Dawson’s Street Pub located at 100 Dawson Street in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, PA 19127. The event starts at 10pm and runs to 2am. VEnT will be sharing the stage with Lee Mehkai, Lloyd Alexander and Stretch! It’s only $5 to get in and trust us, it will be $5 well spent! 🙂

Tuesday, 2/28/2012: VEnT will be hosting in conjunction with Dionne Flowers our new monthly event: Mizzs Thang Presents The VEnT Movement at Unity Hall located at 1349 Unity Street in Philadelphia, PA 19124. The event starts around 8pm and runs to 12am! Jeremy Issac and Hangover will be kicking off this first show! Please believe that we’ll be bringing you THE BEST talent from Philadelphia, NJ, DE, NY, and CT once every month! Tickets are $10. There will be drink specials all night and an amazing menu of delicious food! VEnT is definitely a movement and this event will prove it!

Hello World

Hey everyone! It’s nice that you decided to stop by.  We are VEnT! We are an Alternative Rock-n-Soul band from Philadelphia, PA. We are huge music heads! We love just about everything! It’s 5 of us! Taylor (Toby) is the lead vocalist and writer of all VEnT lyrics. Occasionally, she plays the guitar and bass. Quadi is VEnT’s musical director and keyboardist. You’ll also find her providing backing vocals. Dionna  is VEnT’s drummer! YES, she’s a chick! Don’t underestimate her though, she plays on the level of the best guys out there! Gary, affectionately known as Deac, is VEnT’s bass player! He’s a beast! Tawana is VEnT’s percussionist. You can find her playing congas and chimes or on her snazzy days, she’ll play a drumpad!

VEnT’s music varies in genre. If you put The Fray, Jazmine Sullivan, The Roots, and Michael McDonald (lol) together you might just come up with a sound similar to ours! We’ve performed at a broad spectrum of venues ranging from rock spots to jazz cafes. We frequent spots in Philadelphia, other cities  in PA, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Massachusetts, and Chicago.  We live the music we perform, so it actually means something to us. SIDEBAR: We are a bunch of goofballs!!!!!! Most importantly, we are grateful to God for the gifts he has given us and the outlet to share our gifts with the world!
